Prize winner at the 11th Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition, 2005.
Pianist Yeol Eum Son’s graceful interpretationsand crystalline touch have caught the attention of audiences worldwide. A favorite among international orchestras, Ms. Son has performed with the New York Philharmonic with Lorin Maazeland the Israel Philharmonic, as well as repeated visits to Israel.
In 2009, she claimed both the silver medaland the Best Performance of Chamber Music awrad in the 13th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Two years later, she won second prize at the XIV Tchaikovsky International Music Competition, also receiving awards for her performances of a chamber concertoand the commissioned work.
