Born in 1972, Boaz Meirovitch began studying the flute at the age of 10 at the Tel Aviv Music Conservatory. After graduating from the Thelma Yellin High School of Arts and completing his military service in the IDF Band, he joined the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the Tel Aviv Academy of Music, a Master's degree from Boston University and an Artist's Diploma from Indiana University.
Boaz Meirovitch has won many scholarships and awards, including first prize at the Boston International Flute Competition. He regularly performs in Israel and abroad. He has given a solo recital at Carnegie Hall in New York and appeared as soloist with the Boston Symphony and the Israel Philharmonic, which he joined in 1999.
